Thunder Bay, Ontario
Handcrafted leather belts for Anishinaabe regalia. Made one at a time, for dancers who carry the old ways forward.
Thunder Bay sits at the heart of Anishinaabe territory — home to Fort William First Nation, a hub for powwow culture that goes back generations. The leather belt is not decoration. It is part of ceremony.
We make belts the old way: vegetable-tanned leather, hand-cut and shaped, finished with brass or silver conchos that catch the light when you move. Every piece built to last a lifetime of dancing.
What we make
The classic powwow belt. Brass or German silver conchos strung on heavy leather, 2" to 4" wide. Adjustable with leather ties or buckle.
Starting at $185
Brass tack pattern on full-grain leather. Bold, historic, built to last. Great for ribbon skirt or vest.
Starting at $150
Your design, your measurements. Tell us what you need and we'll build it. Any width, any hardware.
Starting at $225
All belts are made to order. Lead time is 4 to 6 weeks depending on the season.
How it works
Concho, tack, or fully custom. Tell us the belt width, hardware preference (brass or silver), and your waist measurement.
Your belt is hand-cut and built one at a time. Heavy veg-tanned leather, quality hardware, solid construction.
Shipped anywhere in Canada or the US. Each belt wrapped and ready to carry the weight of the season ahead.
We are building something that lasts. Not fast fashion. Not a website full of drop-shipped goods. Real leather, made by hand, for people who show up to powwow.
